However, product development involving desserts made with ice dates back to biblical times. According to a recent publication by the IDFA (International Dairy Foods Association) titled “The History of Ice Cream”. Apparently, King Solomon was very fond of “iced drinks” during harvesting.
It wasn’t until the 1800’s, however, that desserts made with ice became available to all in America.
